Alaska Airlines adds British Airways flights to London Heathrow

Alaska Airlines is pleased to announce that our passengers can now purchase simple, nonstop flights to London directly thanks to our long-standing cooperation with British Airways, a founding member of the Oneworld alliance. For a smooth journey between London Heathrow and Alaska’s gateway airports in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego as well as Chicago and New York JFK, travellers can purchase British Airways flights at alaskaair.com.

One of the most popular foreign destinations on the website is London, and our guests in the Pacific Northwest are particularly interested in the route that connects Seattle and London.

Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer for Alaska Airlines, said, “We’re excited to add our longstanding partner, British Airways, to our growing portfolio of alaskaair.com book direct airlines.” he further added, “London is one the most requested global gateways by our guests and no one serves it better than British Airways and the Oneworld alliance.”

From our main West Coast gateways, which are available for direct purchase on their official website, British Airways provides substantial service to London, including two daily flights from Seattle, Portland, San Diego and San Francisco, and three daily flights from Los Angeles. On their website, travellers may also reserve British Airways nonstop flights from Chicago (three daily) and New York JFK (eight daily). Tickets bought on the website for British Airways are valid for travel starting from June 18 and onwards. Later in the year, visitors will also be able to purchase flights from Alaska that link to British Airways, as well as flights on British Airways that travel outside of London.

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, said, “We are extending our partnership with our fellow oneworld member Alaska Airlines to offer travellers seamless access to British Airways flights to London directly at alaskaair.com.” He also added, “It will enhance the travel experience for our customers, providing convenient connections between London Heathrow and Alaska’s key gateway airports. We look forward to connecting even more travellers between the Pacific Northwest and the UK capital.”
