British Airways Increases London Heathrow-Austin Nonstop Flights

Starting on March 31, 2025, British Airways increased the number of London Heathrow-Austin nonstop flights to twice-daily service, six days a week.

The route between London Heathrow and Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will be operated by British Airway’s fleet of Boeing 787-10 aircraft. The aircraft is the most fuel-efficient aircraft to date by the manufacturer and also features a dual-aisle configuration.

With the launch of AUS’s first transatlantic flight in 2014, British Airways was the first airline to introduce nonstop flights to Europe in Central Texas.

British Airways’s new service, London Heathrow-Austin nonstop flights, will take off from London at 4:05 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 8:20 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The return flight will take off from Austin at 10:15 p.m. and arrive in London at 1:40 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The existing London Heathrow-Austin nonstop flights will be operated by Boeing 777-200, which will take off from London at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Austin at 4:00 p.m. every day of the week. The return flight will take off from Austin at 6:05 p.m. and arrive in London at 9:35 a.m.

“When British Airways launched this route ten years ago, it put Austin on the map for international travel,” said Mayor Kirk Watson. “Establishing transatlantic service marked a pivotal moment in Austin’s growth as a global destination and connected our city to the world. With this expansion to twice-daily service, we’ll see even more opportunities for our community both in business and tourism. This change strengthens Austin’s global presence and plays a key role in continuing to drive our economy forward.”

Neil Chernoff, the Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, said, “After ten years of flights between Austin and London, we’re thrilled to be making it even easier for y’all to hop across the pond. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, we look forward to welcoming even more Austinites on board our flights next summer!”
