Easyjet Announces New Routes from the UK

easyJet has announced two new routes from the UK, including to Salerno’s Amalfi Coast airport, making it the first and only UK airline to fly commercial flights from the airport beginning July 13, 2024.

The twice-weekly trips from London Gatwick will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the summer, and tickets went on sale today. Starting next summer, easyJet Vacations will offer a variety of package trips along the Amalfi coast.

The new route to the former military-only airport, now accessible for commercial flights for the first time, marks easyJet’s 157th destination on its extensive network, joining flights from Milan, Berlin, Basel, and Geneva.

The Amalfi Coast is a renowned tourist destination in Italy, featuring picturesque mediaeval villages and towering cliffs overlooking magnificent beaches. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The new route will provide UK travellers with even more options for exploring more of Italy’s spectacular sites and experiences.

The airline announced today that it will revive its service between Newcastle and Amsterdam next summer, with seats on sale now. Flights will begin on September 5th and continue on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the year.
