easyJet Launches 10 New Routes from London Southend Airport on Sale for Summer 2025

easyJet announced a sale on a total of 10 new routes from London Southend Airport for the summer of 2025.

These new routes include 3 brand-new routes to Reus and Almeria in Spain, and the popular Mediterranean island of Malta, departing from March 2025, and 7 new package holiday destinations to Gran Canaria and Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Dalaman and Antalya in Turkey, Enfidha in Tunisia, Marrakech in Morocco, and Pisa in Italy.

The airline also announced the opening of a three-aircraft base at London’s renowned Southend airport.

With the first flights scheduled to depart from London Southend on March 30, 2025, both flight-only seats and easyJet holiday packages are now available to book for all 10 destinations. This brings the total number of beach, city, and ski routes from London Southend to 17.

The establishment of a base signifies easyJet’s sustained growth in the United Kingdom and fortifies its network by establishing it as the preferred carrier to cater to UK customers and capitalize on the ongoing demand for travel. Additionally, it will support many more direct and indirect jobs inside easyJet and the airport in the upcoming years, in addition to creating about 130 direct positions for pilots and crew in the UK.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, commented, “We are delighted to be putting 10 new routes on sale from our new base at London Southend Airport, which we look forward to opening next spring. Our continued growth and investment in the UK highlight the importance of this market and provide UK consumers with even more choice, with our customers choosing our flights and holidays for our trusted brand, unrivalled network, and great value fares.”

Marc Taylor, the acting CEO of London Southend Airport, said, “London Southend Airport is committed to providing a seamless, high-quality travel experience for people living in the east of London, Essex, and East Anglia regions, and we thank easyJet for expanding its range of choices.

Thousands of travellers from across the southeast have already chosen London Southend as their airport of choice for trips to Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and France this summer, and advanced flight and holiday bookings are already filling up for winter sun, city and ski breaks. With quick and easy direct connections to our airport, just 53 minutes from London Liverpool Street by train and 42 minutes from Stratford, London, our passengers can now access even more fantastic destinations across Europe.”
