EasyJet, a popular low-cost airline in the UK, launched five new flights from four UK airports on 17 July to satisfy their passengers’ travel bug.
The highlight of this launch is a new route, the first one to Luxor, Egypt, in over a decade.
Beginning on November 11, there will be twice-weekly flights from London Gatwick that will enable visitors from the UK to see the Valley of the King and Luxor Temple while enjoying the winter sun in the land of the Pharaohs.
Anubis, the Egyptian god, was spotted celebrating the new route by crossing downtown London from Piccadilly Circus to Cleopatra’s Needle.
EasyJet is also launching a new winter route from Liverpool, sticking with Egypt. EasyJet will offer more seats than any other airline to Egypt from the UK when the twice-weekly service begins on February 14.
On November 15, easyJet will begin service on two additional routes from Manchester and Liverpool to Olso, Norway.
Twice a week, routes from both airports will run.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said, “We’re delighted to be launching even more new routes from airports across the UK to a fantastic range of leisure destinations, meaning we’re now offering over 41 new routes including three brand new destinations on our network from this winter.
“By continuing to strengthen our network we’re providing even more choice and connectivity for our customers all across the UK, whether they’re chasing the winter sun, planning a magical winter getaway or hitting the slopes and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”
