easyJet Launches Record Number of New Winter Routes

EasyJet launches sixty additional flights for this winter and beyond, marking the company’s most ambitious expansion of routes to date.

Among these, 33 routes will be departing from 11 UK airports this winter for the first time, including flights to Strasbourg, France, and Tromso, Norway.

EasyJet is offering an exciting new route to Tromso, Norway, for adventure seekers looking for a distinctive winter experience.

Beginning in November, flights will operate twice a week, from Bristol, Manchester, and Gatwick in London.

These route expansions will take place throughout the year. From London Gatwick, easyJet will launch a year-round route to Strasbourg, a quaint French city rich in culture and history. With this acquisition, the airline’s reach is further expanded and it can now serve passengers looking for a classic European city vacation.

Additionally, Athens, Basel, and Djerba in Tunisia are some of the new routes added to be served from London Luton.

The proposed expansion entails a substantial investment in a number of airports across the nation. Five additional routes are added to Birmingham’s network, including year-round connections to the charming city of Marrakech and the energetic metropolis of Prague.

New links to the ancient city of Istanbul and the busy city of Agadir will be operated from Bristol.

The international airports at Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Glasgow will not be forgotten. Many new routes are being added to these airports, providing year-round city breaks as well as winter sun escapes.

Now, visitors can take refuge in the warmth of Marrakech, Fuerteventura, or Lanzarote. Or they can opt for an alternative, take in the cultural treasures of Malta, Berlin, or Prague, all of which are easily accessible from nearby airports.

EasyJet provides additional convenience for winter travellers by launching new routes during peak travel periods.

Travellers can take direct flights from Leeds to Geneva and Newcastle to Lyon beginning in January and February of 2025. This guarantees a more seamless trip to the slopes without the hassle of connecting flights. Newcastle also benefits from an annual route to Paris, giving passengers more options all year long.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said while expressing the company’s enthusiasm for the expansion, “We’re thrilled to offer this incredible range of new routes for winter, with 33 new services from 11 UK airports. This expansion strengthens our network and provides even more fantastic choices and great value for our customers.”
