Japan Airlines, a member of the oneworld® Alliance, recently introduced its new Airbus A350-1000 international aircraft onto the London-Tokyo route to provide customers with an even higher level of inflight comfort and a customisable experience.
This new international aircraft from Japan Airlines will allow European customers to experience all-new cabin interiors and seating in a four-class configuration. This fuel-efficient aircraft will also reduce CO2 emissions by 15-25%.
The new A350-1000 aircraft will operate the London-Tokyo route on alternate days. The rest of the time it will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The airline’s First Class has the most comfortable personal space that features six fully private suites with sliding doors, a large, adjustable sofa that converts into a single or double-sized bed, built-in headrest speakers, and the 43-inch 4K personal monitor.
In Business Class, Japan Airlines’s passengers can enjoy a fully reclining seat with pressure-dispersing cushions with an adjustable headrest and a 24-inch monitor behind the sliding doors of each of the 54 fully private spaces.
The Premium Economy Class has 24 seats that provide an easy, stress-free recline with a 16-inch 4K monitor, while the Economy Class features 155 seats with adjustable recline with personal 13-inch 4K monitors.
This aircraft will also debut on this route with multiple dining options for vegans and vegetarians as well. The cutlery used for meals is also aimed at reducing environmental impact and addressing social issues.
The airline also aims to provide healthy inflight menus that satisfy both the body and mind. Panasonic Avionics Corporation (USA)‘s latest inflight entertainment system and Wi-Fi service are among some of the perks offered as inflight entertainment in this aircraft.
From earlier this year, the new A350-1000 aircraft has been used to operate twice daily flights on the New York (JFK)-Haneda route. Japan Airlines plans to replace its international fleet of Boeing 777-300ERs with the new A350-1000 aircraft in the hopes of obtaining a more environmentally sustainable status and to improve customer satisfaction
