Bali Grants Fully Vaccinated Tourists a ‘No Quarantine’ Pass

If you are planning to visit the Island of Bali any time soon then you are in luck as the Government mandated hotel quarantine rule will be lifted to give the fully vaccinated tourists a ‘no quarantine’ pass from the 14th of March.

Tourists, as of now, are required to self-quarantine for three days at their own expense at a hotel upon arrival before they are allowed to explore the island. However, recent reports suggest that the authorities of Bali Will be laying off this rule for fully vaccinated travellers from over 20 countries. Along with the reintroduction of ‘Visa on Arrival’, this has the potential to attract more tourists to the island since the beginning of the pandemic.

This new rule regarding easing off travel restrictions will come into action as a few international airlines have resumed making direct flights to Bali since the rate of COVID-19 cases has gone down according to recent reports.

According to reports of a briefing, the Maritime Affairs and the Investment Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that a trial of ‘no quarantine’ rule for travellers overseas was commenced by President Joko Widodo from March 7. 

So now the fully vaccinated tourists will no longer have to abide by the isolation policy, given that they can provide a negative PCR test report and proof of a four-day hotel booking. Apart from that, the international tourists hailing from 23 countries will be provided with a ‘Visa on Arrival’ which was suspended two years ago when the pandemic first hit the world.

When the ‘No Quarantine’ policy trial was proposed, the minister suggested that if the trial shows positive results, then it will be fully implemented from April 1 or even prior to that. And now it has been announced to be starting from March 14.
