British Airways introduces fantastic new flights to Lapland to spread joy during the holidays.
The airline has revealed trips to the legendary home of Santa Claus, located in the centre of Lapland.
British tourists will have the chance to explore Ivalo, Finland’s breathtaking village. Beginning on December 3rd, 2024, British Airways will depart twice a week from London Gatwick to carry passengers to this little community nestled in the Arctic Circle.
The most northern airport in Finland is located at Ivalo, which also acts as the entry point to Saariselkä, a winter paradise known for its breathtaking beauty and exhilarating sports.
Saariselkä satisfies the needs of all winter enthusiasts. Imagine raking new trails through snow-covered forests and taking thrilling snowmobile safaris down beautiful slopes or taking up more classic winter sports like snowshoeing and tobogganing.
However, Lapland’s enchantment goes beyond the joyous atmosphere. The secluded setting of Ivalo offers an amazing background against which visitors can witness the magnificent Northern Lights.
British Airways is aware of how important convenience is, particularly when travelling with winter attires. So they have made it easier for travellers to include their snowboarding or skiing gear in their checked luggage for extra peace of mind.
Their short-haul subsidiary, BA Euroflyer, will operate the flights, which will leave from the handy South Terminal at London Gatwick.

Ivalo has joined Tromsø, Norway, which is another thrilling winter location that British Airways just introduced.
Additionally, BA Euroflyer has started daily flights to Larnaca, Cyprus, departing from London Gatwick in November, for anyone looking to get some winter sun.
The return tickets for British Airways Lapland flights are now available to book for only £345.
There will be two flights every week until February 14th, 2025.
