The American ultra-low-cost carrier, Frontier Airlines, is offering a family-focused campaign through the Grandmas Fly Free promotion. According to this campaign, the carrier will be providing free flights to 100 grandparents.
Although the name of the campaign suggests that only grandmothers are eligible for the offer, in reality, all grandparents can take part in this as the promotion aligns with Grandparents’ Day.
Hence, to honour this day, Frontier Airlines wanted to take this opportunity to remind families that during this fall cost should not stop the grandparents from attending the next soccer game or dance recital or any other milestones in their grandkids’ life through this celebratory promotion.
To Enter the Grandmas Fly Free promotion, the passengers only need to nominate a grandparent or anyone who is defined and deemed a grandparent in the family, and share stories or anecdotes about special moments spent together with details. Additional information, such as a commemorative photo that illustrates the special moment further, is not required but can still be shared to boost your chances of entering the promotion.
The airlines will then randomly select 100 and award them with a $250 flight voucher, and this voucher will be valid to be used anytime between September and October.
The flight voucher can be used for international and domestic travel, and the entry period for the promotion has ended on Grandparents’ Day, September 11th.
The airline rarely ever hosts such promotional contests, especially one that is this thoughtful. This campaign not only honours all of our nearest and dearest elders, but also highlights the strong marketing strategy of the carrier.
Tyri Squyres, the Vice President of Marketing for Frontier Airlines, emphasized:
“We’re proud of our strong commitment to families and our ability to bring them together affordably and conveniently thanks to our ‘Low Fares Done Right.’ This promotion is a fun reminder that fall is a great time to travel and experience some treasured family time.”
