New Airline AJET Launches With Ticket Sales

AJET

AJET, Turkish Airlines’ new wholly-owned subsidiary, has officially launched with ticket sales.

Customers can book flights with AJET on its official website, www.ajet.com, ahead of the airline’s first-ever flight on March 31, 2024.

The airline, initially known as AnadoluJet, was founded in 2008 to increase air transport links in Anatolia and has reunited over 150 million visitors with their loved ones in 16 years.

The former Turkish Airlines brand will be operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ‘AJET Air Transportation Inc’.

The new airline will offer its clients a more contemporary, pleasant, and accessible experience to become a leading low-cost airline on a global scale, therefore enhancing its market competitiveness.

AJET will fly to 93 locations in total: 41 domestic and 52 foreign, including several routes departing from the United Kingdom.

With a fleet of 95 aircraft, AJET will travel to 44 countries this summer, with a target of 200 aircraft over the next decade.

Even before its inaugural flight, AJET announced network expansion, adding routes between Istanbul and London Stansted Airport, Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport, Ankara Esenboğa Airport, and Rome-Fiumicino Airport.

This sub-brand will expand Turkish Airlines’ expansive global reach, adding more flights to the group’s existing 360-strong network.
