Qatar Airways to Resume Flights to Lisbon, Portugal

Qatar Airways has announced that it would begin operating flights to Lisbon, Portugal in 2024 as part of its plan to expand its network to over 170 destinations. Starting on Thursday, June 6, 2024, a Boeing B787-8 aircraft will be used to operate the four weekly flights.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, provides visitors who want to explore the countless travel options in the nation with an ideal place to start. Adventurers can travel to the medieval town of Sintra and its UNESCO World Heritage Site, Quinta de Regaleira Palace, which are both just a day’s trip from a plethora of historical attractions. The National Palace of Pena, which is accessible by train, has vibrant tiles that were inspired by the exotic vegetation that surrounds it, giving it an alluring atmosphere.

Thierry Antinori, the Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, said, “As we continue to expand in the European market, we celebrate the resumption of our flights to the beautiful city of Lisbon. The most recent addition to the summer schedule creates a new gateway for international travel from Europe to the continents of Africa and Asia as well as the subcontinent of India through Lisbon.

  • Standard: choice of 4-star hotels
  • Premium: choice of 5-star hotels
  • Premium with Beach Access: choice of 5-star hotels with access to Doha Sands Beach, West Bay
  • Luxury: choice of 5-star luxury hotels including breakfast
  • All-Inclusive Beach: choice of 5-star hotels including breakfast and all-inclusive beach access to Doha Sands Beach, West Bay.

In order to help visitors make the most of their time in Qatar, all stopover packages provide 24-hour check-in capabilities. Additionally, add-on options such as airport assistance, transfers, and a variety of tours and experiences to enrich their stay, such as City and Desert Tours, may be customised.

Members of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club will accrue Avios throughout travel and will save more when using a combination of cash and Avios, or Avios Max, to pay for flights where 100% of the ticket is paid with Avios.
