To position Qatar as the top vacation destination, trade journalists and travel agents were taken on an all-inclusive familiarisation trip to Doha by Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism. In the metropolitan Msheireb Downtown Doha, His Excellency Mr Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, and Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, hosted a news conference.

Qatar Airways showcased its summer schedule, network growth, and interesting destinations for both short and long-term travel during the press conference. The airline hopes to attract more foreign travellers to transit through Hamad International Airport, the best airport in the Middle East, with its new route to Hamburg and its return to Venice. DQ’s stopover packages allow travellers to include Doha as a destination for their layover.
