From June 2024, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will operate five weekly nonstop flights using the long-haul version of their Airbus A350-900 aircraft between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport.
This would increase the total number of flights to the UK’s capital from 28 weekly flights to 33 weekly flights when combined with its current four-times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport. SIA also conducts 5 weekly flights to Manchester Airport.
Flight SQ310 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, after receiving regulatory approval. On June 21, 2024, at 11:55 pm (local time), a flight from Singapore will take off for Gatwick Airport, arriving in London at 06:25 am (local time) on June 22, 2024.
The return flight SQ309 from Gatwick Airport to Singapore will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On June 22, 2024, at 10:15 am (local time), the inaugural return flight from Gatwick Airport will take off and arrive in Singapore at 06:20 am (local time) on June 23, 2024. Customers can choose to connect to SIA and Scoot flights to locations throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand due to the early morning arrival.
the long-haul A350-900s of Singapore Airlines feature 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.
With the addition of Gatwick, the SIA network now has 141 destinations in Europe, demonstrating its steadfast dedication to improving connectivity to this important area.
