From June 2024, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will operate five weekly nonstop flights using the long-haul version of their Airbus A350-900 aircraft between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport.

This would increase the total number of flights to the UK’s capital from 28 weekly flights to 33 weekly flights when combined with its current four-times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport. SIA also conducts 5 weekly flights to Manchester Airport.

Flight SQ310 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, after receiving regulatory approval. On June 21, 2024, at 11:55 pm (local time), a flight from Singapore will take off for Gatwick Airport, arriving in London at 06:25 am (local time) on June 22, 2024.

On June 22, 2024, at 10:15 am (local time), the inaugural return flight from Gatwick Airport will take off and arrive in Singapore at 06:20 am (local time) on June 23, 2024. Customers can choose to connect to SIA and Scoot flights to locations throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand due to the early morning arrival.
the long-haul A350-900s of Singapore Airlines feature 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.

With the addition of Gatwick, the SIA network now has 141 destinations in Europe, demonstrating its steadfast dedication to improving connectivity to this important area.
Mr Dai Haoyu, the Acting Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, said: “London has always been a very important market for the Singapore Airlines Group. With the introduction of this new service to London’s Gatwick Airport, Singapore Airlines’ customers will have an additional flight to choose from when flying between Singapore and the UK. It also opens up additional travel options to other points in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.”
Mr Stewart Wingate, the Chief Executive Officer at London Gatwick, said, “Renowned as one of the world’s best carriers, we are delighted to welcome Singapore Airlines to London Gatwick. It showcases the high regard in which Gatwick is held, and connecting to the impressive Changi Airport is a big boost for the whole region. For passengers across London and the South East, the new route will provide huge connectivity potential, not only to the fantastic destination of Singapore, but more widely across South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. With significant increases in trade between the UK and Singapore in recent years, the service also provides exciting opportunities for local and regional businesses.
