Azores Airlines resumed Ponta Delgada-London flight service earlier this week, providing a crucial connection for the Portuguese island.
As far as is known, the carrier stressed the option for connectivity when the flights began on June 4.
The Azores Airlines’ Ponta Delgada-London flight operated twice a week. It has been declared that Tuesdays and Thursdays are the flight schedule days. The flights will be leaving London at 1:35 p.m. and arrive in Ponta Delgada at 4:35 p.m.
On the other hand, planes from Ponta Delgada will arrive in London at 12:35 am and depart at 07:35 am. Additionally, it is declared that these flights are seasonal and will only be operated during the summer till September 26 of this year.
Graça Silva, Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at the SATA Group, Commented on the restart of flights between Ponta Delgada and London, “The reopening of this route, for which we have high expectations, is a moment experienced with great enthusiasm.”

All things considered, Azores Airlines is thrilled about this as it allows them to reach a significant European market in London from Ponta Delgada.
Additionally, by promoting its StopOver Azores Program, the airline puts itself in a strong position to boost local tourism.
All eyes will be on these flights’ performance throughout the summer. If this route is a huge success, it will be intriguing to see if they decide to offer Winter flights or not.
