It also covers quarantine costs of up to US$100 per day per passenger for up to 14 days, evacuation and repatriation costs use of a 24/7 emergency hotline.
Customers are covered for a period of 30 days starting from the date of their departure, or until they return to their home, whichever is earliest.
As part of its Cathay Care peace of mind initiative, the airline has already implemented temperature checks, contactless boarding, the antimicrobial coating on check-in counters, the mandatory wearing of face coverings, enhanced cleaning onboard and installed HEPA air filters.
