Emirates Introduces Preordering Service for Onboard Meals

Emirates Preordering Service fi

Emirates has taken an extra step in enhancing its customer service by introducing preordering service for onboard meals. Through this initiative, customers will be able to preselect their main meals up to 24 hours prior to their flights.

This service will ensure that the passengers get their preferred meals every time while also reducing food wastage. Passengers can place their meal orders between 14 days and 24 hours in advance of their flight.

The initiative will be effective from 25 July 2023, in Business Class, on all flights between Dubai and London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted. Meal preordering will be added to the AI-enabled customer preference tracking data and cabin crew reports to facilitate menu planning. Emirates plans on delivering the premium ‘restaurant in the sky’ inflight dining experience.

Passengers will be able to browse and choose from the onboard menu inspired by regional cuisine containing dishes made from locally sourced ingredients through the Emirates app or on Emirates.com. Passengers will also be able to pre-order special meals if required.

While onboard, the cabin crew can view the meal selection by using a custom-built application on a device and serve the passenger their preselected main dish.

Emirates will closely monitor customer feedback about this new initiative as they have plans to expand the meal preorder initiative to more routes and classes in the near future.

The introduction of preordering meal service is yet another addition to the wide array of conveniences already enjoyed by Emirates passengers. Other than website check-in and app check-in, the option of digital boarding passes and itinerary management, passengers can now also access digital menus in advance.

Emirates passengers are also able to review all aspects of their flight in a quick digital survey that appears on the inflight entertainment screen, providing feedback and insights that ensure that customers receive top-tier services from Emirates and have the best flying experience.
