Heathrow Adds 11 New Routes for Winter 2023

Travellers looking for some winter adventures will have a plethora of options this year as Heathrow Airport unveils 11 new airline routes, which include the UK’s sole direct link to Peru, an increased number of flights to top ski destinations worldwide, making Heathrow the only airport in the UK to have the most connections to such destinations, and heightened competition for popular vacation destinations such as Dubai and the Maldives.

As the winter season officially commences on October 29th, Heathrow Airport offers passengers an unprecedented array of options. Recently recognised as the world’s most interconnected airport, Heathrow connects travellers to 239 destinations in 89 countries. Whether passengers seek winter warmth in Dubai or aim to search for hidden gems in Turkmenistan, there are new experiences awaiting every kind of explorer.

Ross Baker, the Chief Commercial Officer at Heathrow, said, “We are thrilled to see 11 new airline routes commencing at Heathrow this winter season. As our passenger numbers continue to grow, we are delighted to offer more winter sun options to destinations such as the Maldives and the Turks and Caicos Islands. With more global ski destinations on offer than any other UK airport, passengers can enjoy even more choice this winter, with additions such as Turin and Salzburg. Our expanding route network also opens new opportunities for British travellers and businesses, with direct connections to Ashgabat and Lima. I am sure these new routes will prove popular this winter.”

A full list of new airline routes served from Heathroware as follows, to Lima via LATAM Airlines set to commence on December 2, to Salzburg via Lufthansa set to commence on December 16, to Friedrichshafen via Lufthansa set to commence on December 16, to Dubai via Virgin Atlantic commenced on October 28, to the Maldives via Virgin Atlantic is already available, to Turk’s and Caicos via Virgin Atlantic commenced on November 4, to Riga via British Airways commenced on October 29, to Belgrade via British Airways commenced on October 31, to Cologne via British Airways commenced on October 30, to Turin via British Airways is set to commence on December 10, and to Ashgabat via Turkmenistan Airlines commenced on November 4.
