Italy Extends Five-Day Quarantine Rule

Italy Extends Five-Day Quarantine Rule

A five-day quarantine rule for UK arrivals into Italy has been extended by a month until August 30.

The decision effectively writes off the hopes of Britons taking summer holidays to the country.

The mandatory isolation has been extended by Italian health minister Roberto Speranza.

However, he said that people who have been vaccinated in the UK will be able to use their NHS vaccination certificate as a substitute for the EU green pass, BBC Rome correspondent Mark Lowen tweeted.
