China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines will launch a new route between Heathrow and Beijing Daxing Airport on Wednesday, June 7.

A 314-passenger Airbus A350 will operate the trip, leaving from Heathrow at 22:30 and landing in Beijing at 15:25 the following day.

Nine hours and 55 minutes is the expected duration of the flight.

The return flight takes off from Beijing at 11:55 and lands in London at 15:45, covering a distance of around 10,50 minutes.

China Southern operated direct flights from the UK to Guangzhou, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, and Sanya before the pandemic.

The airline started flying again on April 10 and has since resumed its regular Guangzhou route.

Additionally, China Southern offers international onward flights to Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, and Hong Kong in addition to domestic connections to 27 destinations inside China.

Following the restart of British Airways’ Heathrow-Beijing service, news of the Beijing connection broke. Along with internal lines within China, it runs as a codeshare with China Southern.
